| Follow
these instruction to create a PostScript or PDF File from PageMaker.
This example is for a 8.5" x 11" page. If the document
contains any bleed elements, be sure to extend .25 inch past
the trim
edge of the document. The ideal method is to provide the file,
also provide a PS and a PDF file in addition to any graphics or photos
that are placed within the document. To be sure that we are on the same
frequency you may also want to provide us with the normal PageMaker
file, which we will then convert to our needs in order to print the
book. |
Step
1: Select print under file menu. Under the document tab,
choose the HP LaserJet 5000 Series PS printer or print to a PDF
file. SiamPrint can provide you with a
printer definition, if you do not have one already available. Select
the page
range, that you wish to postscript dividing them into 16 page
signatures. Be sure to provide all photos that are included in
the file as an attachment when sending to us or when placing on the
server in the Images directory |

| Step 2 : Now select the paper tab. Select the chosen printers mark box. Make sure to check the scale to 100%. |
Step 3: Choose the custom paper size. That size should be a total of 1 inch larger than the trim size of the book. |

4: In the options dialog box set the dialog box as pictured
above. Check the write PostScript to File: button and enter the
file name. be sure to include the page range in the filename. |
Step
5: Under the color tab select composite color. Set the
frequency to 150 lpi (lines per inch) Click Done (top right) and the
PostScript file will be created. Now follow the instructions for
turning the PostScript file into a PDF document. |
You
can provide us with PageMaker files, all Microsoft
Word files, QuarkXPress, Acrobat Pro 7, Corel Draw 8.9 or any PDF file
